Context

  • LokOS (Lok = People, OS = Operating System) is a digital governance platform under DAY-NRLM for end-to-end management of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and their federations.
  • On 29 June 2026, the Ministry of Rural Development launched SHE-LEAPS under LokOS to promote women-led enterprises.

DAY-NRLM

  • Launched in June 2011 as National Rural Livelihoods Mission (Aajeevika).
  • Replaced Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY), 1999.
